“Isn’t that something? Middle of a drought and the water commissioner drowns. Only in L.A.”
On this episode, we finally finish out our series on Film Noir, this time looking at a Neo-Noir film from 1974, it’s Roman Polanski’s CHINATOWN, starring Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway. The wonderful Rance Collins is back once again to help us close out this series. We talk about the careers of Nicholson and Dunaway, the complicated legacy of Roman Polanski, and the many ways CHINATOWN hearkens back to film noirs of old.
